Autocad freezes when trying to plot

Hi, I have a simple 2D drawing with minor hatches, no attached pdf or images. However if I plot any other drawing, the plots are out in seconds. Eventually the graphics processor seems to get overwhelmed and everything comes to a stop. The boundary definition trap has caught me too. My husband recently got a new laptop and we loaded Autocad on it he was previously using Autocad , now every time we open up the old drawings from the entire PC freezes and we have to forcibly restart. This is now really affecting our business.

Any suggestions or ideas as to why this is doing this and how we can solve the problem? My freezes are very consistent. Every 20 seconds or so and last for seconds. Just repeats endlessly. It has something to do with working away from the servers at work.

When I am at home, it freezes. When I am at work, it never freezes. No solution found. Let us know if you make any progress! I work accessing files from server. Please help.
