Cannot install fonts vista

I just searched through most of the Microsoft help resources and did not find appropriate solutions to users font questions. Most of the answers are flippant and not helpful and some are just wrong. Please be helpful and on topic. The problem is that I can't install any font to windows I tried to: copy-paste files drag-drop files installing the font as admin Nothing works..

This function installs the font only for the current session. When the system restarts, the font will not be present. To have the font installed even after restarting the system, the font must be listed in the registry.

The files get copied just fine. The fonts are just not listed as available. I have rebooted several times. I have even disabled UAC, rebooted, run the script to copy the fonts, rebooted. They still do not show up! I have to manually go to the Control Panel - Fonts then select Install Fonts, then they will get installed correctly. The content you requested has been removed.
