I upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. Since then, when I opened a game like Solitaire, it gave me a message : 'Hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video card driver, which can slow game performance. I checked,and hardware acceleration is on to it's fullest. What can I do next? I really need help, this slow games are really irritating! Please help :!! This thread is locked. I had this problem, and the answer is stupidly simple. Windows 10 by default is set to use the integrated graphics on the CPU. It wasn't that at all in the end it proved to be the Pre-rendered frames setting in the NVidia driver.
Setting this to "1" eliminated the problem which was actually "input lag" and not slow performance although the end result on screen is the same.

That Game mode option that Microsoft has implemented to make games run better has actually made my games run at a slower frame rate.
Plus they all take at least 3 times longer to load now, especially Forza Horizon 3. That game now takes about 8 minutes before you can play it.. Just a heads up Microsoft, if you are going to implement a state of the art improvement to your OS then please check that it actually works first. Everything has slowed down a little since the Creator upgrade. Logging into windows now seems to take forever but it was almost instant before the update.
